COVID 19 Policy
As we approach the Kentuckiana Pride Festival (October 8-9, 2021), any updates regarding COVID-19 will be posted on this page and on social media.
All attendees entering the festival are required to present either:
Proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination
Proof of a negative COVID-19 test from a medical facility taken within 72 hours (3 days) prior to October 8th
Attendees are encouraged to wear a mask to ensure everyone’s safety.
To reduce contact we recommend purchasing all tickets in advance.
We encourage participants to wear a mask.
All CDC, State of Kentucky, and City of Louisville guidelines will be followed, and we are working to ensure this event meets or exceeds all recommended standards. Failure to follow requests of staff members could result in ejection from the event.
We ask that you not attend if any of the following is true for you or anyone in your party:
- Within 14 days before attending the festival you have tested positive, or been exposed to someone who has tested positive for, COVID-19;
- Within 72 hours prior to attending the festival, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention);
- Within 14 days prior to attending the festival, you have traveled to any international territory identified by federal or applicable state or local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.
Masks will be available for free at the entry gates, information tent, and first aid tents. We will have increased hand sanitizer stations on site, and our cleaning crews will do frequent cleanings in high touch areas.
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.
By attending the Kentuckiana Pride Festival and Parade, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
How do I prove I have been vaccinated?
Proof of full course COVID 19 vaccination may include a physical or digital copy of a completed vaccination card that matches the Government issued attendee ID.
If you have lost your vaccination card, contact your vaccine provider, i.e. Walgreens, CVS, Metro Public Health, for a copy.
How do I prove I have a negative test result?
Proof of a negative test administered by a health care provider may be a printed or digital test result that matches the patron ID.
No home tests accepted.
How can I find a location to get vaccinated?
If you are not currently vaccinated, you can find out when, where, and how to get a FREE COVID-19 vaccine via KY Department of Health: https://www.vaccines.gov/search/
What about children?
Children under 12, who cannot be vaccinated, are encouraged to wear a mask.
I have a medical condition or religious belief that prevents me from being vaccinated.

What is a full course COVID 19 vaccination?
You must have received the final dose at minimum 14 days prior to Friday, October 8, 2021
A. GENERAL INFORMATION
Q: WILL MERCHANDISE BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?
A: Kentuckiana Pride merchandise is available to purchase at the festival at the Merchandise Tent.
Q: WHAT DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
A: The festival is $5.00 per day with upgraded tickets for VIP We highly encourage festival attendees to pre purchase all tickets to ensure a quick and smooth entry into the festival grounds.
Q: CAN I BRING MY PET?
A: well behaved pets on a leash are welcome to attend. Please monitor the weather to make sure you pet will have as much fun as you would at the festival.
Q: WILL RESTROOMS BE AVAILABLE?
A: Portable toilets will be located throughout the festival grounds. Hand sanitization centers will be located inside each restroom. Handicap restrooms will be available, and all restrooms will be monitored.
Q: WILL CONCESSIONS BE AVAILABLE?
A: Yes, Food Trucks will be onsite at the festival.
Q: CAN WE BRING OUR OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?
A: No, all outside food and drink are prohibited. Sealed Water bottles are allowed.
Q: CAN I BRING ALCOHOL TO THE EVENT?
A: No, outside alcoholic beverages of any kind are prohibited.
Q: CAN I SMOKE IN THE EVENT?
A: No. Smoking is not allowed at any event as it may disturb others in attendance.
Q: Is this a family friendly event?
A; Yes, the Kentuckiana Pride Festival is a family friendly event and all are welcome to attend. We have a kids’ area and youth area on the festival grounds.
Do children get in for free?
A: Ages 10 and under can attend the event for free.
What about my outfit?
We are sure your outfit is awesome. We ask that you please don’t show your parts, and be respectful. Kentuckiana Pride is a family-friendly festival.
Q: Is re-entry allowed?
Yes, make sure you get a hand stamp at the exit or keep your wristband on.
What about Parking?
Waterfront Park has many parking lots.
We highly recommend using a ride share option.
B. TICKET INFORMATION
Q: IF I DON’T PURCHASE A TICKET ONLINE, CAN I PURCHASE A TICKET AT THE EVENT?
A: Yes, tickets will be available at the gate for $5.
Q: CAN I GET A REFUND?
A: No, all sales are final and there will be no refunds. You may transfer your ticket to another attendee through the Eventbrite website or App.
Q: HOW DO I SCAN MY TICKET?
A: Please present your ticket at the gate entrance for contact-free scanning. Tickets can be printed in advance, or you can access your ticket on your phone through email or the Eventbrite app.
Q: WHAT IF I CAN’T USE MY TICKET?
A: All sales are final and there will be no refunds. You may transfer your ticket to another attendee through the Eventbrite website or App.
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
A: The KentuckianaPride Festival is rain or shine. Severe weather will be addressed separately and appropriately. Should anything change we will share any schedule changes on our social channels and festival app.
C. SECURITY MEASURES
Kentuckiana Pride works closely with local and state authorities to ensure the safest possible experience. You’ll notice uniformed and plain-clothed security throughout the event. They’re there to keep you safe, so don’t hesitate to ask them for help if you need immediate assistance.

Prohibited items will be confiscated and will not be held for later pickup.
REMEMBER: You’re the eyes and ears of the festival. If you see something suspicious, say something.
D. HOW TO GET HELP
If you find yourself needing help while at the Nashville Pride Festival, here are some places that can assist you:
If you or a friend need emergency assistance at the festival, go to the medical tent located near the main entrance or ask anyone with a staff shirt for assistance. Be honest with emergency personnel – they are here to help you, NOT get you in trouble. If you see someone who looks like they need help, look for any festival staff members or anyone with a radio to assist you.

Kentuckiana Pride is a welcoming place to come together with friends, family, and loved ones to celebrate the progress of the LGBTQ+ community. Our code of conduct is designed to ensure the parade and festival are safe and accepting spaces for everyone and that everyone is treated with courtesy and respect.
1. Kentuckiana Pride is a celebration recognizing the past struggles and future possibilities of the LGBTQ+ community. All participants in the parade and festival are expected to embrace and respect this.
2. Kentuckiana Pride is a safe space and will not tolerate any threatening, violent, harassing, or offensive behavior against its volunteers, staff, artists, performers, festival goers, parade participants, security personnel, or members of the public.
3. Kentuckiana Pride celebrates diversity and will not tolerate any individual making derogatory remarks about a person’s age, race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, size, wardrobe, physical ability, economic status, and/or religion.
F. ALLOWED AND PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items and activities are prohibited at this event:
Advertising, selling or promoting any third party product (including, but not limited to, food and beverage items)
Amplified sound systems
Grills or fryers
Kerosene lamps or open flames of any kind
Outside Alcoholic beverages
Tents, stand umbrellas, and tarps
Use of drones
Weapons of any kind
Please be aware that all bags, coolers, backpacks, etc., will be subject to search.
What can I bring into the festival?
Coolers (no alcohol or glass containers, will be searched at the gate)
Water, Water, Water. Unopened or empty refillable water bottles are encouraged.
